The club began back in August 1979 after an article was printed in the Chronicle about twins and triplets, and has continued ever since.
Members have come and gone but the Club continues to meet on the second Tuesday of every month from 8 pm onwards. Our main aim is to make friends with other mums of twins and triplets where we discuss common issues over coffee/tea, cakes and on the odd occasion a few bottles of wine! In addition to the evening meetings, which tend to be mums only, we have monthly day meetings where the rest of the family can get to meet each other and have great fun. Firm friendships have been made as a result of these fun filled days. We also organise family day trips, barbeques, picnics, Easter and Christmas parties, bowling evenings and camping trips for all the family to come along to and join in the fun. The early years of raising twins or triplets seem to be when us mums need each other the most! We welcome expectant mums and mums of newborns, pre-schoolers, school age and teenagers. We have a range of ages within the club and have a wealth of experience and information that we would be very happy to share with you. We are an informal social club, who make no demands on any of our members. |
